General Construction
From self-performing to subcontracting
As a general contractor, one of our key strengths includes the option to self-perform or subcontract project activities. Our self-performing capabilities include civil construction, structural steel, equipment erection, mechanical ductwork, and piping.
Project Execution
Our project management staff will work closely with your project team to foster the open communication needed to accomplish your goals. Each of our project managers has the resources needed to estimate costs and provide safety and constructability reviews from conceptual design to project completion. Our project managers can also develop critical path method schedules, recommend procurement strategies, forecast personnel requirements, administer contracts, and develop cost control systems that consider your business needs.
Planning and Scheduling
After years of coordinating both large and small projects with intricate scheduling requirements, our project management team has the skill and tools needed to help clients develop reliable timetables. Our planning, scheduling, and cost control measures have helped companies reduce costs, while still ensuring all milestones are met. Specifically, our team can prepare Gantt charts for all prospective projects. Where needed, we can produce in-depth CPM-type schedules for long-term projects with complex variables or short-term projects with time constraints. Our planning and scheduling activities include deliverables such as manpower forecasts, percentage complete curves, procurement deliveries, restraint/float activity, and work coordination.
Project Estimates
Century prides itself in using the most sophisticated programs for performing material takeoffs and producing work proposals that help management better evaluate risks. With proprietary systems such as QuickPen and MC2, we provide accurate, dependable estimates, and competitive proposals that lead to more effective value engineering and cost control.
